Cleaning the closet!

July 25, 2011

Here is a great tip to help you weed through your hoards of clothing. I read it somewhere online (I can’t remember where or I would give credit). Anyhow, reader’s digest version as my dad would say.

Turn all your clothes backward. Backward?!?!? Yes. Backward. Turn every single piece of hanging clothing around so the hook is going around the back of the bar and the end of the hook is facing you. Then, as you wear clothing, hang the clothes up normally. After a pre-specified amount of time (6 months. 9 months. 12 months) go through and get rid of the clothes you are obviously not wearing.

Brilliant and simple.

I’ve already turned our clothes around. The testing period will run from August to January. This way we hit summer, fall, and winter in six months. This should be interesting!
